Book Review – The Millionaire Next Door

This is my very first time when I’m writing a proper book review. Through this book review, I’m trying to help someone like me, who in my initial days found it difficult to decide upon which books to read and which to skip.

I’ll be answering very basic yet powerful questions which would help you choose the same.

Reason behind picking up this book (On Kindle)
– I’d heard and read a lot about this book since sometime and people were appreciating how practical this book was in its approach and how it was backed by research and data.

– Like others, even I was curious to understand was it really easy and practical enough to become a millionaire?

– When I felt its right time to read something related to finance, this was on my top list to read.

I hope these simple questions help you in evaluating whether you should read this book or not.

1. WHAT (is this book about?)
– This book clearly shows that millionaires do not necessary live in high society or posh           areas.

– They maybe your neighbours and you might not even know about it.

– It breaks the notion of what we think of millionaires, which we are so accustomed to             believe, all thanks to advertising and television industry.

– It attempts to show us how can we become millionaires, backed by decades of research &
data (all you practical people get excited!).

– The book tries to show us that it is not necessary that those who buy branded stuffs are       always rich.

– The author infact makes the readers understand the difference between income & wealth     (which means financial freedom).

2. WHY (should you read it?)
– To literally become financially free.
– So that you don’t have to live paycheck to paycheck.
– To understand how living frugally & under your means can help you achieve that.
– To become a MILLIONAIRE !!

3. WHO (should read it?)
– Any youngsters who have just started making their financial decisions.

– To those who do not want to be tied by their salary until their last breath.

– To the PARENTS (new & old) who actually want to help their children become millionaires (this book literally does that).

– Young adults who have responsibilities of their family and want to have less stress financially.

4. WHEN (should you read it?)
– The time you’ve decided to become a millionaire & you don’t want to work that hard as you do now.

– This book can be read by anyone, who has decided to become something in their life.
